What on earth had possessed her to wait for him? Kakashi was the laziest teacher known to man, and he was never very enthusiastic when people asked him questions- there was no way he would voluntarily stay late to talk to her. However, she had convinced herself that he would, and so she sat there, flipping through the pages of a book, and waiting. The wind was cool, making her shiver; goosebumps popped up on her arms, and the look on her face held homicide.
Tugging on a strand of black hair and resolving not to walk away: the only things she had done in the past half hour. What she wanted to do: strangle Kakashi. Aquamarine eyes stared up at the sky, watching the gathering clouds darken to gray; Ashurii could only hope that it wouldn't start to rain before her common sense decided to show up.

So, he had forgotten to take his meds again after lunch. No big deal, right? Wrong. The inability to sit still, keep quiet, and pay attention had earned the youngest member of the Akatsuki a hearty detention. Oh joy. His ADHD wasn't entirely to blame for his lack of focus today, though. His thoughts kept trailing back to a certain green-haired girl he had gotten the privilege to speak to during lunch today. Cheesy as it was. He looked up for the umpteenth time at the teacher keeping him hostage in the dull class room with big, puppy like eyes. Finally giving in, his captor sighed and nodded, signaling that he was free to go. Letting out a "whoop!" of joy, Tobi leaped out of his seat and took off at a sprint out the door. Freedom was his at last. However, running so fast does have disadvantages. Like not being able to stop when you see you're about to run into someone. All the black haired boy could manage to say was "Heads up!" as he came barreling towards the female figure. Heh, this should be fun.

Why did she have to become deaf to the world when she was distracted?
Ashurii barely heard the loudmouth boy, absorbed now in staring at the step beneath her feet; that, plus her horrible reaction time, led to a very uncomfortable tumble down the remaining concrete stairs. "Ow." From the way her knees felt, she'd probably scraped them up good. Not to mention the fact that Tobi was far too close now for comfort. "Uh. Person. Mind getting off?" she asked hopefully, squirming. Great. Human contact, and it was with a person that she disliked by proxy- she seemed to remember that he was part of the Akatsuki, which didn't bode well for her. None of them really liked her... actually, most of them probably wouldn't care if she died.
Then a dull throb started up in her head. Even BETTER. She'd hit her head when landing; hadn't her brain been rattled enough after the stupid Uchiha had given her a concussion-by-rock? Apparently not. "I... really need to go, and I can't do that if you're on top of me."

Tobi lay there motionless. If this had been an anime, he most likely would have had the swirly eyes that came with dizziness. When he finally regained his faculties, he didn't say ow. He didn't say sorry. He didn't even try to do a tough guy act that was expected from an Akatsuki member. Nope. Instead, he sat up, looked directly at the dark haired girl -after removing himself from her, of course. He was a good boy, after all.- and said "HII'MTOBIWHOAREYOU?!" All in one, excited, energetic breath.

Owww. Ashurii thought, rubbing her head as she sat up. "It'd be nice if you could walk down the stairs like a normal person instead of running into people." she muttered. Settling herself against the bottom stairs, she squeezed her eyes tightly shut and hoped the nausea would subside. And then, without warning, her eyes popped open again as she stared at Tobi. How did he speak that fast? It was disturbed. "I'm Ashurii." she replied. "And, if you talk to any other members of the Akatsuki- especially Itachi and Sasori- you'll know who I am."

Tobi adopted a pondering expression and titled his head to the side. Ashurii, Ashurii... OH! "OHYEAH!" He exclaimed, a grin adorning his features. "Tobi's heard of you." Here he nodded enthusiastically. "Itachi-sama and Sasori-dana talk about you. A lot. Sasori-dana doesn't seem to like Ashurii-chan much, though. Itachi is a little nicer when mentioning you." Yeah, he knew he probably shouldn't be so friendly with an Akatsuki enemy, but he couldn't help himself! It was in his very soul to be nice. How he wound up there was a mystery.

And there came the recognition, though it was louder and more enthusiastic than she expected it to be. Ashurii winced at the volume, sending him a sharp glare. "The dislike is mutual, kid. Sasori can go fuck himself, and Itachi can too. Better yet, they can go fuck each other." The thought kind of made her snicker. The fact that Itachi wasn't completely cruel when speaking of her surprised the teen- she was still having issues with the whole "he hates her enough to shove her into freezing cold water" thing.
She should just leave now. Or, well... if she could move without passing out, that was. Sighing, she resigned herself to the chattering of Tobi until the headache finally went away.

Tobi made the kind of face you see on a little kid when you've broken the rules and they're gonna tell. "Oooohhh, Ashurii shouldn't say things like that~" He said, shaking his head and wagging is index finger in front of her face, "Itachi-sempai and Sasori-dana would be mad if they heard it. They might even hurt Ashurii badly." At this he nodded his head, though more to himself than to her.

Ashurii looked at him, eyebrows raised. "Ashurii can say anything she wants to." she corrected him, quite irritably. "It's not like they'd do anything they haven't done to me before, because I don't think either of them wants to get slammed with a murder charge." At least, they didn't according to Itachi. "Let them hurt me, I'll just stab them."

Tobi shrugged, not really sure how to respond to that. He heard a soft rumble in the background and looked up at the sky. It was awfully dark.... Another rumble, this time louder. "Uhhh.... Was it supposed to rain today?" He asked, still staring up at the sky with wide, dark eyes.

"Yes, it was supposed to rain." Ashurii inferred. She didn't know; she had no interest in getting up early just to watch the weather programs, which were wrong half the time anyways. "Well, if you don't want to get wet, you'd best get going." If only she could do the same...

Tobi opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off by the thunder. This time, however, the heavy downfall came with it. "... Too late!" He said, giggling childishly. His grin faded, however, when he saw how depressed and damn well unamused Ashurii looked. The school was locked by now- so that wasn't an option. However, there was a McDonald's across the street that looked available. He offered Ashurii a hand. "Wanna get out of the rain?" He asked, smiling again.

Great. Just fucking great. Not only was she depressed and ill, but she was wet all over again. Ashurii looked at Tobi, suspicious... but what the heck, going into a McDonald's with him was better than sitting around, wet, until her headache passed. "Fine." She took the proffered hand, and pulled herself up slowly. "Let's get in there before I pass out."

Tobi flashed another one of his wide grins. The rain started coming down harder as he... 'Assisted' Ashurii across the street. The word 'assisted' here means he walked at a safe distance beside her and made sure she didn't collapse in the middle of traffic. He didn't physically touch her, for fear that she might bite his hand off. Once safely inside, Tobi backed off a little more. He figured she could handle the inside of a fast food restaurant just fine... Y'know, maybe. He shivered a bit- It was freaking cold in there. What, did they have the A/C turned all the way up? "Brr." He said as he rubbed his hands together. While doing this, he glanced up at the clock. 4:43... Shit, he had to take his meds. As much as he didn't want to, he didn't really have a choice. Well, once he graduated, he could say goodbye to the drugs for good. But for now, he needed some water. Walking up to the counter he asked for said drink and looked back at Ashurii. "Want anything?"

Ashurii, thankfully, was able to stumble her way to the McDonald's without keeling over and dying, or some equally unpleasant type of behavior. Once inside, and shivering, she huddled up in a booth near the back and, for the most part, was able to ignore Tobi. "I don't eat fast food. But coke would be nice." In fact, this was the first time she'd ever been in a McDonald's.

Tobi nodded. After receiving both drinks and paying -Just for Ashurii's, his water was free- the cashier, he spun on his heel and walked over to where Ashurii had seated herself, and, after handing her her drink, he sat opposite the table from her. He fumbled around inside his pants pocket for a while, looking for his meds, before finally feeling the cold -And slightly wet- plastic under his fingertips. Heaving out a dissatisfied sigh, he removed the blasted orange bottle from his pocket and unscrewed the top, shaking out his afternoon dosage into the palm of his free hand. "Mrr..." He grumbled under his breath, "I hate these things." And with that, the killjoy pills went into his mouth, followed by a large gulp of water to help them down- And to get rid of the taste. Shuddering with disdain, he shoved the bright orange bottle back in his pocket and stared at the window. He could feel the effects of the drugs kicking in already. Joy.

Until Tobi arrived with her drink, she was content to huddle in the corner of the booth and mope. Now she was likely stuck here until the rain stopped; being the fool that she was, she had decided to walk to school today... and there was no way she was getting drenched trying to walk home. Ashurii sighed, taking a sip of her Coke, and eying her new sort-of friend as he took his pill. Great. Maybe now he'll be less hyperactive and generally more pleasant to be around. she hoped.

Even with the water he couldn't get the taste of his meds out of his mouth. Yeck... It was like a combination of chalk and over-chewed bubble gum. Not cool. In attempts to take his mind off of the taste, Tobi searched his mind for something to talk about. He thought back to what Ashurii said earlier. "Ashurii can say anything she wants to. It's not like they'd do anything they haven't done to me before, because I don't think either of them wants to get slammed with a murder charge. Let them hurt me, I'll just stab them." Wow, she really didn't know anything about the Akatsuki, did she? Tobi wasn't a total idiot. Even off his meds he knew just what his uh, constituents were capable of, particularly Sasori... Just thinking about what the red-headed did for a hobby made his skin crawl. When Tobi said he was a good boy, he damn well meant it. Even if he was a member of the Akatsuki, if he could help it, no one he knew was going to be hurt by them. "You know, you really should watch what you say about the other members. They aren't as afraid of the cops as you seem to think." He said, still looking out the window. The childlike quality of his voice had all but vanished from existence.

"Honestly? I'm beyond the point of caring." Ashurii replied tonelessly, sipping her Coke. "Itachi and Sasori hate me, and nothing I can do is going to change that, so why be careful around them when they'll attack me regardless?" It was much better to stop caring, and pull out her knife and stab them if she got a chance, rather then futilely attempting to get them to stop. It hadn't worked at the bridge; it hadn't worked any time before that; and it wasn't going to work in the future. "I have tried being civil, and all that got me was a concussion. I'm actually lucky I'm not dead right now." Let him react to that.
