It still hurt to be alone.
Whenever the silence thickened, paralyzing fear took over; every shadow was his, every movement was a sign that he was just around the corner. She was more shut in than ever, not willing to open her heart or mind to anyone else. Andro couldn't even bear to tell her parents about what had happened, for fear of how they would react. Nothing was safe; no one was safe, and they never would be. Everything was some sort of threat, something that couldn't be overcome alone.
Yet if she couldn't trust anyone enough to let them in, she would never be able to solve her problems. Vicious cycle, much? The red-haired teen sat on her knees by a tree, staring up at the sky, and wondering just HOW all of this had happened. Though she knew it was a very real possibility, she had never thought it would happen to her.
Famous last words, huh?

Every shadow may not have been his, but the looming one around the bend certainly was. Arishi was in the park, for whatever incomprehensible reason there was. Mostly it was just a buzzing high that led him on a grand adventure. Was there ever a dull moment when you were floating above the ground? Of course not.
As Arishi turned around one of the largest trees in the area, he spotted the red-headed figure. Somehow her face, staring up at the sky in confusion, was drudging up memories from the depths of his mind. Why? Why was she so familiar? Suddenly, the pained look on her face clicked from the whiskey fogged memory. Of course. It was that one chick, from that night...that he did...yeah.
Walking up to Andro, the male cleared his through. "Hey. I uh, wanted to talk to you." To apologize.

She was almost in a daze by that point, eyes fixed on the clouds, watching them slowly meander across the pale blue sky. I think that one's a cumulus.. it's all puffy. Andro was as close to content as was possible, which really wasn't close at all... she jumped at the slightest sounds now, so a dog barking or a twig snapping would have completely destroyed this peace.
Or, well, the spontaneous reappearance of the man who haunted her nightmares.
At first, she didn't recognize him; she'd done her best to block out the memories of that night. His voice stirred up a memory, though... "Andro, huh? What a pretty name, for such a pretty girl." And everything else clicked. Immediately she flinched away, skittering closer to the solid oak tree. "W-what do you want?"

Arishi waited patiently, watching the girl stare at clouds. The beauty of nature was lost on the simple man. He lived for a few things, and nature was not one of them. Andro glanced at him, seemingly as if he was just another man on the streets. Was something going on here? Had she completely forgotten and he could get away with it? Or was she purposely refusing to give him a reaction? Suddenly, as if something had triggered a flood over the dam, she flinched and scrambled away from his body.
The man curled his hands into tight fists, eyes narrowing coldly. He had to remind himself repeatedly that Andro was only reacting with fright because he had truly acted horribly to her. Arishi took in a deep breath, allowing his features to soften the menacing look. "I came to apologize. I was very drunk and I acted out of line."
